Haters gonna hate...

Oh, hey WCI peeps that decided to visit my page.  Fancy seeing you here.  If you are here to mock this super awesome blog I have (i.e. if your name is Derek Ranta), well, you can suck a butt and go away.

If you are here to learn about absolutely delicious bread pudding, then welcome to my most excellent blog! It is great to see you here!

For those of you that don't know, I am currently in the lovely city of Hood River Oregon, nestled in the gorge - the most beautiful part of Oregon.  Here is a pic from my hotel room:

So, more importantly, I was at a nice local restaurant called Stonehenge tonight when I got blindsided by quite possibly the most delicious bread pudding in the history of bread pudding. So there I was, after eating a lovely meal of crab stuffed chicken, when I thought the servers were bringing out creme brulee for dessert... but what did I learn?  No!  In fact, it was bread pudding on fire!

**Note: This is the first time in the history of Pudding it Out There that bread pudding has ever been served with flames.

Good news! I got the VERY important opinion of the most famous local food critic in the bustling metropolis of Hood River: THE Erwin Swetnam (Jr):

Erwin told me about his first experience with this bread pudding phenomena:

8.5 long years ago, his loyalty to a wonderful company brought brought him and his lovely bride Diana to the town of Hood River.  New to the area, the couple decided to explore local restaurants.  By mere chance, they stumbled across an old house tucked in the trees; the restaurant of Stone Henge.  There, they experienced the most deliceious dessert of their lives: bread pudding.

Erwin describes this bread pudding as having a creme brulee coating, where the cream seeps down into the bread, giving it a lovely 'pillowy' texture.  While some naysayers may mock this description, the wise ones in the group appreciate the amazing dessert, as seen here in Patrick, my super kewl former office coworker.

For the less kewl people in the group, well I'm sorry to hear you aren't so cool.  Keep trying.  Some day you may make it to the elitist group.  For inspiration, please see this picture of me and the most inspirational food critic east of Gresham:

Well, CORD and other random viewers of my blog, thanks for visiting.  Come back next time if you decide not to be a hater.
